Who's Gonna Drive You Home?

If you've ever wanted to be taken home by Gary Busey (and let's be honest, who hasn't?), then you, my friend, are in luck. After seeing this article on Starpulse.com, I started wondering to myself what this "movie star" has been up to lately (other than lending his voice to consumer electronics). According to imdb.com, he's been in a ton of movies in recent years, but I haven't heard of any of them. In fact, I had to scroll back to 1998 to find the last movie I saw that he had any part in. And that was a bit part as a police officer in the criminally underrated Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, starring Johnny Depp and Benicio Del Toro. That was nine years ago.

Gary Busey knows just where you're headed - and he'll tell you how to get there, too. The latest celebrity voice available for TomTom portable navigation devices belongs to none other than the iconic Hollywood star Gary Busey.

Navigate your way around town with Gary giving you turn-by-turn advice along with a few choice "Buseyisms" - the kinds of sayings that have turned him into an icon of cool across America and around the world.

Gary's driving advice ranges from the philosophical ("Make a U-Turn. Both the right and left side of your brain will be in action") to the outrageous ("Left turn ahead. Watch out for the animals in your area. If you create a roadkill, you are required to stop, pick it up, and eat it").

Like ringtones for mobile phones, voices like Gary Busey's and other top celebrities allow drivers to personalize their driving experience, turning a regular car trip into an enjoyable event.

So what song have I come up with to share alongside this post? It's "Drive", sung by the late, great bassist Benjamin Orr of The Cars.

Drive
